About the Show
Waitress premiered on Broadway in 2016, with music and lyrics by Sara Bareilles and a book by Jessie Nelson, adapted from the 2007 film. It made history with an all-female creative team and went on to become a hit on Broadway, in London’s West End, and in international productions. The show received several Tony Award nominations and a Grammy nomination for its cast album.
The musical is praised for its mix of comedy, heart, and memorable songs. Bareilles’s score, especially "She Used to Be Mine," has become a standout in modern musical theatre. The UK tour lets audiences around the country experience its emotional story and inspiring message live.
